On Friday, August 22, Entertainment Fusion Group hosted a fundraiser for Music for a Cure. This event took place at the New Zealand Natural Ice Cream's Orange County location at Stadium Promenade.
For the "Ice Cream Day" Entertainment Fusion Group gave out free ice cream with any donation to Music for a Cure. Whether the donation was big or small, they handed out ice cream and donated the money raised to Music For A Cure. Michael and The Raymies performed during this 4 hour event. It was such a fun time and we are so grateful for all the support received.

In what was called a Fashionable Fundraiser, Bloomingdale's pledged to make a $6,000.00 donation to Music for a Cure. The donation came from earnings made at their Newport Beach and South Coast Plaza locations.
When customers visited these locations on August 20, they presented a shopping pass upon purchase. This pass worked two ways, it allowed the customer to receive a fifteen percent discount on selected merchandise while also allowing a percentage of the overall purchase total to go towards the donation Bloomingdale's was making to Music for a Cure.
We would like to thank everyone who attend the event and Bloomingdales for making it such a success!

Special Thanks:
We would like to thank Ricardo Gamarra at AsomBroso for donating his camera crew for the documentation of Music for a Cure's visit to Children's Hospital Orange County on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. On that day members of Music for a Cure delivered a keyboard to their music therapist, which was so generously donated by Roland Corp.

Additional thanks must go to Sageman Drums with a special thank you to Christian Feist for donating new Djembe drums and percussion instruments to CHOC's Child Life Department's music therapy program. Feist was excited to support our charity and stated, "Sageman and myself owe our children's lives to the staff at CHOC and we're proud to be able to give what we can to such a great hospital and cause.

Connections with Subset M
Over the last few months one of our goals has been to become more involved in the musical community. One of the ways we are striving to do that is through teaming up with local artists and spreading the news about our charity. Our thoughts weere, "Who would understand the therapeutic benefits of music better than a musician?" In our search for these artists the Public Relations Director at Subset M, a new Media and Marketing Company, contacted us wanting to connect some of their bands with our organization.
They have two new bands who they are currently promoting. These bands have agreed to let us sit in on their concerts and raise money for our cause. We recently attended a Damage show and September 22 we will be sitting in on Karmina's show at the House of Blues in Hollywood.
Karmina's fresh new sound is displayed in their latest single, "The Kiss" which was written by both band members who happen to be sisters. Kelly and Kamille Rudisill are getting a lot of attention for their latest album, "Backwards into Beauty" which they wrote and produced themselves.
Their songs were featured on popular TV shows like The Hills, NCIS and Cane. They also performed on the CBS Holiday Special, which included performances by Sheryl Crow, James Blunt, Fergie, Carole King, John Legend and Reba McEntire.
Go check out their page at myspace.com (http://www.myspace.com/karmina) and discover their talent for yourself.
Another band that Subset M is currently promoting is Damage. The Orange County award-winning band stands out from the average metal band with variations in their vocals and the occasional sounds of acoustics and strings. They are clearly not afraid to be themselves and use their artistic instincts to stand out from other bands. Visit their page at myspace.com (http://www.myspace.com/damage) and judge their music for yourself.
